oleg, hostname should be a sub page of Package:Net-tools. also hostname & hostname --fqdn shouldn't be the same? i think domainname's supposed to make hostname --fqdn = the full oleg.host.funtoo.org & hostnames supposted to put out just "oleg" Threesixes (talk) 21:36, February 22, 2015 (UTC)
No, it shouldn't be a sub-page of net-tools. --Drobbins (talk) 22:19, February 22, 2015 (UTC) nope, it shouldn't be part of net-tools package wiki page. Main reason of describing hostname is because Funtoo has special design for it, i.e automatic generation of /etc/hosts for example People keep asking about it, so we need to reflect that. a hostname command, indeed is part of net-tools, it can be added in wiki.
