This page documents in-development changes to Portage's profile handling, intended to make Portage's cascading profiles implementation more flexible and manageable for end-users.
A working implementation of this profile scheme uses a modified version of Portage which can be found here: on GitHub.
The new profile scheme uses a reworked set of profiles that can be browsed here:
