I am not very excited with binaries kernels, the Funtoo philosophy is at the basis to reconfigure for your needs and recompile yourself. However, why not propose a set of kernel seeds that would be a base of kernel configuration?

I am not even talking about binary kernels here - just steps to quickly compile a kernel and initrd with a "golden" config that will boot 99.9% of all systems, so users don't need to struggle with configuring their kernel correctly just to get Funtoo Linux installed.

Ah ok I see what you mean, challenging but very good idea. Kernel config is a show stopper.
