Drbd is basically a networked raid 1 for mirroring volumes.

Use Explanation

Heartbeat is actively being deprecated, so users are encouraged to go with sys-cluster/corosync (package not on wiki - please add).

Pacemaker is a resource management agent that starts and stops services in case of failure on nodes.

Install

# emerge sys-cluster/drbd
