I am sorry if I have caused you any inconvenience. However, I am adding all Templates on the wiki to a Category:Template. Because of this, I have to add to each Template -- hence the spamming of the log. Is it okay with you if I finish up (I will then be done spamming, I promise.)?

Best,
Sorry, I was on my cellphone so I checked out on znurt which told me gnome-base/gdm hase a consolekit useflag. However, I just checked out the ebuild as well, it seems that gdm relies on consolekit only if systemd useflag is disabled. But who cares about systemd. :D -- Pytony (talk)

Duncan, it is not really that helpful to add Templates to a Template category. They are all in their own namespace and it is easy to find them using this link: http://www.funtoo.org/index.php?title=Special%3AAllPages&from=&to=&namespace=10
:::::::lol ok.....  this loops back to the original subject of the talk page.  if the useflag is set it pulls in the package, but doesnt set it to start @ default.  im failing to see this as a work around, and more seeing it as a shortcoming of use flags pulling packages in?  or shortcomings of packages pulled in to be set as default @ boot?  we care about systemd long enough for it going into the garbage bin, and having packages that previously depend on it working without.  idk what to think about it, if you really think its a work around, bug tracker it. =D  Threesixes (talk) 00:11, 23 September 2014 (UTC)

GNOME should be mergeable by simply setting the desktop profile, enabling the gnome mix-in, and emerging GNOME. If this doesn't work, then it's a bug, and a bug should be filed.

Why must dbus and consolekit be added to default runlevel ? Is there a more official source than "it prevented someone from logging in"? According to Help:Funtoo_Editing_Guidelines, "Adding work-arounds to problems experienced No - open bug first on bug tracker.". -- Pytony (talk)

GNOME should be mergeable by simply setting the desktop profile, enabling the gnome mix-in, and emerging GNOME. If this doesn't work, then it's a bug, and a bug should be filed.
