root # emerge media-tv/kodi
   Note

samba can also be used as a USE flag to build Kodi with or without net-fs/samba support.

Advanced Settings XML File

The Advanced Settings XML file for Kodi allows for changing advanced configuration options that cannot be achieved through the Kodi GUI.

Useful Advanced Settings XML file configurations include: Tweaks for low power devices, move library to MySQL for syncing, set streaming and cache optimization settings, change video library scanning and operations, personalize playback controls.
