Saw the edit. Cool. It means I can't adopt Funtoo in my current condition. Maybe I'll write a script if and when I get well.

I don't have a problem simplifying the install process, and a lot of work has already been done in this regard. This includes providing a script to help.

I've noticed there's a certain resistance to the idea of installers in the core Gentoo team, and I was wondering if this extends to the Funtoo team as well.

I'm not looking for some major work, a shell script might conceivably suffice if need be. Or if something more sophisticated is desired, to mount one of the fancier distro overlays like Calculate's, install their installer, and work from there. And if that's possible, to detail how to do that, or link to a chapter in the handbook that gives more help on the subject.

Options are available, and need not limit the users' choices or lead to extra work.

Saw the edit. Cool. It means I can't adopt Funtoo in my current condition. Maybe I'll write a script if and when I get well.
